The 8th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics: Partners and Sponsors

 From August 16-22, 2024, Chișinău will host the 8th edition of the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI), organized by the Ministry of Education and Research and the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation.

 EJOI partners include the State University of Moldova, the „Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University, and the E-Governance Agency.

Moldova State University (MSU) is a leading institution in the country’s higher education system, which responds to the demands of society through continuous modernization of both study programs and university infrastructure. About 10,000 students are enrolled in over 100 undergraduate and master’s programs across 11 faculties and 4 doctoral schools. MSU hosts Mediacor, a media and creative technology hub focused on advancing film production, game design and development, artificial intelligence, new media art, multimedia, and journalism.

 „Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University (ICSPU) in Chisinau specializes in preparing professionals in pedagogy, philology, history, mathematics, physics, information and communication technologies, and more, ensuring competitive qualifications for the labor market. ICSPU features the Future Classroom, a digital transformation hub in education, a new pedagogical concept, offering an open and inspirational learning space with interdisciplinary and innovative approaches through digital technologies.

 E-Governance Agency (EGA) is a public institution within the Government of the Republic of Moldova, ensuring the digital transformation of public administration, technological modernization of public services, and efficient governance through technology. EGA coordinates and implements public policies and strategies for digital transformation and the development of the information society. It is the main promoter of e-Governance and digital transformation initiatives in the Republic of Moldova, acting as a catalyst for interaction between the government and citizens through smart electronic platforms and technologies.
